The Opera House locates in Hanoi center and was lavishly erected by the French colonial authority between 1901 and 1911. The Opera House was modeled after the Palais Garnier, the older of Paris's two opera houses and is considered one of the key architectural landmarks of Hanoi. After the withdrawal of the French army, the Opera house has ever since become the hub of key political and cultural events of Hanoi and Vietnam.
