The Mausoleum is a large memorial located in the centre of Ba Dinh Square. This is the place where the former great leader Ho Chi Minh, Former Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam resided from 1951 until his death in 1969. Ba Dinh square hosted his delivery of the Declaration of Independence speech on 2 September 1945 to establish the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
